State Your Plate: Contest

Take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to have your design displayed across the largest gallery in the state of Tennessee — THE ROAD.

Tennesseans for the Arts is calling on all state residents to submit their artwork in the contest, “State Your Plate.” The contest is free to enter, and the winner will have his or her design printed on the next specialty license plate!

What is it?

The contest to design Tennessee's next specialty plate.

Who can enter?

Anyone who is a current Tennessee resident is eligible to submit his or her design for the state’s next specialty license plate. If any entrant is under 18 years of age, he or she must have the signed permission of a parent or guardian.

TEMPLATES

Designing a license plate requires some special consideration. Even though it is a blank canvas, you should remember that parts of the plate will be covered with decals, letters and numbers. The graphics cannot interfere with the letters and numbers on the plate.

The license plate is a 6” X 12” canvas. The artwork dimensions are 5.5” X 11.5”.
